This annual ceremony at the St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC is an awesome event. It's a beautiful and touching rememberance service in honor of ALL Organ Donor Heroes (both, deceased and living donors). The church is packed with Donor families, recipients and their loved ones, and many others who are connected to organ donation and transplantation in some way. The ceremony also celebrates recipients. 🙏 I've attended many of these services virtually over the years, it's extremely moving and emotional indeed. I hope to attend in person someday, in honor of the donor hero who made life possible for me. His ❤️ lives inside of me and it is making it possible for me to thrive.

Organ donors 💙 DonateLife 💚 to give the ♻️ Giftoflife ✅️, and make secondchances possible for so many.

#OrganDonation + #Transplantation = #Miracles 💯

#BeADonor to #savelives #livingdonorsrock #shareyourspare

Hey gang,

Just an update as I begin my 2nd month with my new kidney (RC) Its been an interesting ride and I had to put in a wound vac because my incision became slightly infected, was put on on an antibiotic called levaquin. Did a 10 day regiment of that. Just completed it yesterday. Last night around dinnertime I was having some burning sensation while i tried to urinate thought it was a uti, but i saw my urologist to get my stent removed, and he said thats pretty normal when you have a stent in for over a month, so we'll see if the sensation does subside today or tomorrow afternoon, so again never quite easy, but overall the kidney itself is waking up and doing well. creatinine is at 1.7 and my tac levels are at 9.8 so i take 3 in the am and 3 in the pm. I have a visiting nurse that comes once a week to do my wound change for my vac, it does look like i'll be here in the NYC for a bit longer as i completely recover from the vac and wound heals up completely.

end of stream of consciousness.

Thanks for everyone who continues to keep my spirits up with calls and texts.

-Alex
